During World War 2 several razor blade manufacturers created these special razor blades which were then issued by the military to soldiers. 

It has Broad Arrow on it. It was also originally magnetised so the arrow would then point north when put into water. This is so that when the blade was floating in the water, it could be used as an escape compass.
