This is a beautiful, soft and fully-lined 100% cotton original vintage Japanese kimono with an alternating fan motif depicting: the branches of a Sugi (Japanese cedar) tree, the national tree of Japan that is often planted near temples and shrines, and also hermit Fukurokuju, god of wisdom, good fortune, long life, prosperity and happiness - one of the Seven Lucky Gods of Japan. Folding fans themselves symbolise destiny: from the starting point of birth to the many paths that Life may take.
Condition: this vintage Japanese kimono is in excellent vintage condition with no noticeable marks or blemishes.
